HR Professionals is currently seeking candidates to fill various positions for Business Intelligence Developer candidates that are interested in working throughout the State of Louisiana or are interested in Remote opportunities. These positions will require the experiences outlined below. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Developer position requires a dedication to producing high-quality output and proactive involvement in the successful deliver of Business Intelligence systems. The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and implementing database systems which will adequately support BI/reporting needs of the organization. Has thorough knowledge of data warehousing, Business intelligence tools and ETL Systems. The candidate must have a good understanding of the business needs and the technical capabilities and be able to help align the business intelligence solutions to meet the business growth objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • 2+ years of IT, Business, or Government Industry Experience preferred

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Formulate designs and/or design recommendations which meet various requirements
  • Convert business requirements into actionable technical requirements for current and upcoming projects
  • Design and build reporting and analysis tools that help streamline the business and make reporting, analyzing, planning, and forecasting more efficient
  • Interpret business requirements into technical database solutions
  • Propose potential logic solutions and propose data fixes
  • Work closely with project managers and directors as well as IT department clients (business representatives) from a business and process perspective
  • Work with other SMEs and technical support teams in the pursuit of technically excellent solutions
  • Resourcefulness and perseverance to find data from whatever sources are available, and adeptness in working in large datasets
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analysis, profiling and conceptual modeling, and data quality
  • Formulate designs and/or design recommendations which meet various requirements; balancing the goals and constraints of existing solutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • 2+ years of IIT, Business, or Government Industry Experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and best practices for database solutions
  • Intermediate Object / Relational mapping experience and ETL principles/knowledge
  • Intermediate Experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS & SSAS)
  • Intermediate SQL Experience preferred
  • Work well under pressure with short timelines
  • Strategic and Innovative thinking and solutions
  • Gathering, Documenting and Designing Data Requirements
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and remain flexible in a dynamically changing environment

  • Ability to work nights and weekends and support an on-call support rotation as needed
